A collaborative Star Wars project between Pixologic, Magic Wheelchair, Monster City Studios, Dangling Carrot Creative, and MASSIVit 3D for San Diego Comic-Con and a very special “kiddo”. With a joint effort between companies, a reimagined, fabricated, and fully functional Poe Dameron X-Wing costume (Specifically Star Wars: The Last Jedi) was constructed for a very special fan and family.

Here is a diagram I setup for the fabrication team at Monster City Studios.
Fully functional quad-split screen displaying 4 build-in cameras, interactive LEDs, and buttons linked to sound-fx!

Replica of Poe’s cockpit joystick modeled in 3D by me, Kyle Johnstone.

Final model and render of the reimagined X-Wing from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Exterior redesign, modeling, and rendering created by Joseph Drust, Solomon Blair, and Kingsley Wong.

Here is a diagram I setup for the fabrication team at Monster City Studios.
The design was inspired from The Last Jedi film where Poe Dameron had a modded and boosted X-Wing. The designed called for 5 separate pulsating LED ring lights and sound-fx to simulate the booster and thrusters. In the front, we called for another 4 separate LED ring lights and sound-fx to simulate the laser canons firing in a X shaped pattern.
